From Roni Horn‘s archive at the Library of Water:
“Wheather is the paradox of our time. Weather that is nice is often weather that is wrong”
“Everyone has to fear nature. It can be terrifying sometimes”
“Everyone has a story about weather and, although it varies greatly from here to there, it is finally one weather that we share “
Aquarium of Sounds
——-
Aquarium of Sounds is a 15 minutes cross-disciplinary art performance for musicians and crowd created by Francesco Moretti during an international artistic collaboration (NAIP introductory course) in September 2014 in the town of Stykkisholmur, Iceland. The performance has taken place in the unique Library of Water of the town, which was a source of inspiration together with the extraordinary Icelandic enviroment of the Snæfellsnes peninsula.

The first theme is a folk Icelandic oxymoronic song which happy music contrasts with desperate lyrics, describing the moment fishermans realise that the fjord is iced and there is no chance to catch any fish for the day.
While sounds of ice breaking are heard, the crowd, in the shape of a glacier, , melts into drops and strems among the audience, pushing people to the following stage, awareness.
